Many thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the awesome Photographer...Donna Kennedy, FAA artist that so graciously allowed me to use her spectacular image �Surviving the Elements� as a reference photo to paint from. Although I did not paint the structure of the barn exactly as she captured it, the composition, colors and overall picture is fairly close. I cannot express my gratitude enough and share the delight I took in using such a great reference photo. I would like to invite you all to visit her amazing gallery and promote her images. The following is copied from her description in her words:
�This is an old abandoned barn with falling down stables nearby that have been left to the elements in Verdi, Nevada. Once filled with action and laughter from all of the owners of the horses that were boarded here.�
Description of my Painting:
This is an original 20 X 24 canvas, oil painting. I have named this piece �Strong Timbers Waiting�A Barn in Nevada. Barns are an important part of our agricultural, architectural heritage. Americans need to work together to restore these awesome structures of our culture. I hope, through my paintings, that at least the memory can stay alive. The original is for sale through the artist framed or unframed, Canvas prints, signed are also avaliable through the artist. Prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, canvas prints, greeting cards are of course available though FAA. The watermark will not appear on any purchases.
