Fusion Art Announces the Winners of the
8th Annual Waterscapes Art Exhibition
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 10, 2023 (Santa Fe, NM)
Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 8th Annual Waterscapes
International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art
website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography
and 3-Dimensional Art.
For this exhibition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, were invited to submit their best art
and photography depicting waterscapes. All artists, regardless of location or experience,
were encouraged to submit their best work in any media.
The 8th Annual Waterscapes Best in Show winners are Joe Maibach for his acrylic on
canvas, “VENETIAN CANAL”, Ken Murphy for his digital photograph, “HERON AT
SUNRISE” and Karen Russo for her stoneware, underglaze,...

Artist Jan Dappen of Ellijay lets her subject smell her paintbrush, as her husband Rick Dappen looks on. Both were at Build an Ark Animal Rescue property for the kick off of Plein Air weekend last Friday. She was pictured here with her painting of "Bubba". Jan Dappen had a great weekend, ending up winning Best in Show with her painting of River Street Tavern in Ellijay.

WBIR Knoxville News did a news report on the Popcorn Sutton Jam in Newport, TN on the 24th and 25th of July, 2015. During the News report they featured some of my art during the newscast.

Jan Dappen received the "Vintner's Choice" Award for the Ellijay Vineyards Plein Air Event held during the weekend of June 12-14, 2015 in Ellijay, GA.
Vineyards participating were the Cartecay Vineyard, Chateau Meichtry Vineyard, Ellijay River Vineyard and Engelheim Vineyard. Cartecay Vineyard's owner Larry Lykins chose Jan's plein air oil painting "Sunshine Bridge at the Cartecay" as his personal choice for his Vineyard.
