This winter scene is an original oil painting of Pink Knob Mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains located in Ellijay, Georgia at the base of the Appalachian Mountains. We enjoy watching the mountain change colors, especially in the winter and fall seasons. When the sun is setting the colors will change dramatically from different shades of Pink (hence,the reason for its name) purples, oranges, blues, greens and browns. The deer pictured in the field along the fence are looking for some left over hay. Wildlife is plentiful and very entertaining. The cabin is snuggled in the valley and you can see the smoke pouring out the chimney indicating everyone inside is nice and cozy warm. A creek runs along the left side of the painting. Most of the foliage is gone from the trees but the evergreens and they are tipped with snow. If you prefer a signed print, This is the signed copy version.
