Description
Original Acrylic on 8 x 8 tilted canvas gallery wrapped. I painted this for the Apple Arts Festival in Ellijay. Ellijay is the Apple Capitol of Georgia. The Crabapple is the only apple native to North America. The pilgrims planted the first United States edible apple orchard in the Massachusetts bay colony in the early 1600s. Today Apples are grown in all 50 states. Birds use apple trees for their fruits, flowers and sap. Lots of birds like apples. And the trees like the birds right back because birds help pollinate and spread the trees' seeds as well as patrol for insects.
