9x12 Gallery Canvas original oil painting painted en Plein Air at Mountain Valley Farms during the Plein Air in the Mountains 2019 in Ellijay, Ga. This little Calf was sold twice that morning as I painted her. She was sold to another farmer and her likeness (the painting) was sold to the Farmer that raised the calf and owner of Mountain Valley Farms. I call her Moo Baby!
Jan Kornegay Dappen is a self-taught artist. She is originally from Columbus, Ga and presently a local Ellijay artist living in the North Georgia Mountains. She is a founding member of the Gilmer Fine Artists Guild, Secretary of the Gilmer Arts Board and Chair of the Golf for the Arts Tournament-New Gallery/Education Center Renovation Fund. She loves painting en Plein Air and serves on the committee to help organize the Plein Air, Art in the Mountains. Jan primarily works in oils but also teaches classes in Acrylics.
