Photograph of Autumn colors from my Deck in Ellijay, Ga. The North Georgia Mountains are beautiful any time of the year but especially Autumn. Love the bright greens and yellows here. Sitting on the deck and enjoying this view and the wonderful changes throughout the day is our favorite past time. This is Pink Knob in the distance, Douglas Mountain on the Right and this morning you cannot see Flat Line.
Jan Kornegay Dappen is a self-taught artist. She is originally from Columbus, Ga and presently a local Ellijay artist living in the North Georgia Mountains. She is a founding member of the Gilmer Fine Artists Guild, Secretary of the Gilmer Arts Board and Chair of the Golf for the Arts Tournament-New Gallery/Education Center Renovation Fund. She loves painting en Plein Air and serves on the committee to help organize the Plein Air, Art in the Mountains. Jan primarily works in oils but also teaches classes in Acrylics. She has been recognized locally and internationally for the following awards: 2023 - SUN BREAKING OUT AT LAKE CHATUGE - Artist Excellence Award, Fusion Arts 8th Annual International Juried Waterscape Competition 2023 - SUN...
