This is a portrait of a little girl daydreaming, looking at her reflection in the door's window pane and putting on makeup. She has painted the makeup on her forehead. This commissioned portrait is a 20 x 20 oil on a canvas wrap around. Playing dress-up and make-believe are essential parts of childhood. They stretch the imagination, teach story-telling and social skills, and they're often great exercise. It was my hope to capture her dreamy look and wishful eyes. Many thanks to my customer for allowing me to paint her beautiful granddaughter!
