The Cherry Barn

This original oil was painted as a wedding present for some very close friends. It is a typical old weathered barn located in Ellijay, Georgia in the North GA mountains. The barn was typically used to keep horses, hay, tools, farm machinery and has an apartment built on the upper floor. It is unique and wonderful in every way. The rustic tin roof and crossed wood stable doors are my favorite features of this old worn barn. I love old homesteads, barns, and shacks that represent life as it was in a different era. It is my desire to preserve their history with my paintings. This was my very first oil painting.
