While painting at Mountain Valley Farms during Plein Air in the Mountains in Ellijay, I took extra images to paint at a later date. This was a different perspective than the one that I sold at the Auction. I wanted to add the feminine touch of the flowers contrasting against the old red truck. The original was 14 x 11 on linen
Jan Kornegay Dappen is a self-taught artist. She is originally from Columbus, Ga and presently a local Ellijay artist living in the North Georgia Mountains. She is a founding member of the Gilmer Fine Artists Guild, Secretary of the Gilmer Arts Board and Chair of the Golf for the Arts Tournament-New Gallery/Education Center Renovation Fund. She loves painting en Plein Air and serves on the committee to help organize the Plein Air, Art in the Mountains. Jan primarily works in oils but also teaches classes in Acrylics.
