Description
A wooden bridge spans a gently flowing stream in a lush forest. Sunlight filters through the trees, highlighting the vibrant greenery. This was a lovely day spent with members from the Gilmer plein air group. We painted in different spots along Owltown creek in Ellijay, GA. It was a rainy, bleak looking day when I woke up, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the sun break through and give us all the colors we needed. I was fortunate to Paint with Julee Everett, another Ellijay Artist. Fun to see the difference in ours and all the other paintings. We critiqued our work and moved on to a delicious lunch in Ellijay. This painting can be seen for the Month of October and November at Gilmer Arts in Ellijay on Dalton Street beginning Oct 5. Reception 3-5 on Sunday, open and free to the public.
